Crisis Response Protocol

Effective Date: May 12, 2026

This protocol describes how Don't Lose Your Way, operated by CC3PO LLC, handles situations where a user may indicate risk of self-harm or suicide. Our approach is realistic and honest about what we can and cannot do.

This platform is not a crisis intervention service. We do not have trained crisis counselors, mental health professionals, or 24/7 monitoring. Our response is limited to providing resources and blocking harmful content.

If you are in crisis right now:

Call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)

What We Can Do

As a small operation, our crisis response is practical, not clinical:

1. Prominent Crisis Resources

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is displayed prominently throughout the website — in the footer, on the disclaimer page, and in the Chapel area. These resources are always visible, not hidden behind a click.

2. Content Filtering in Submissions

Community voice submissions are reviewed before publication. Any submission that explicitly expresses intent to harm themselves or others is:

3. AI Safeguards

Our AI songwriting and reflection features are designed to:

Limitation: AI detection is not reliable and cannot replace human judgment. We do not guarantee that the AI will detect every concerning input.

4. No Automated Diagnosis

We do not use AI to diagnose, assess, or evaluate mental health conditions. AI on this platform generates creative content only — songs, reflections, and prompts. It does not perform risk assessments.

What We Cannot Do

How Community Voice Submissions Are Handled

When someone submits a community voice that indicates self-harm risk:

  1. The submission is held for review and not published immediately
  2. Our team reviews the submission within a reasonable timeframe
  3. If the submission contains explicit self-harm or suicidal intent, it is not published
  4. We cannot contact the person directly (submissions are anonymous) — so we ensure crisis resources are always visible on the site
  5. Repeated concerning submissions may result in IP-based access restrictions to protect the community
