Moving Against The Crowd Is Liberating

Moving against the crowd is liberating.

Very few feelings are more encouraging than marching to the beat of my own drum. When I move against the crowd, I feel free. It is empowering to know that I am acknowledged respectfully for doing things my way despite opposition.

I am careful with my decision-making. Each choice I make is given meaningful thought. Taking this approach ensures that I remain true to myself.

It is sometimes difficult to ignore the popular opinion of the masses. Life seems so much easier when I take someone else’s path, but it is far less fulfilling that way.

Fulfillment comes by doing what I know feels right within my soul.

It feels good to honor the morals that have taken me through life. I sleep peacefully at night when I am free from emotional turmoil. I choose to do what feels good to me, regardless of what others think.

Taking a path of honest, hard work to success is sometimes slower, but is more liberating. In that scenario, I avoid being enslaved by dishonest decisions just to get to the top.

Today, I am committed to taking steps that feel good to me. I am courageous in pursuing what I feel is right even if it is unpopular. My focus is on being true to myself at all times.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. What are some of the reasons why I may choose to go with the crowd?
  2. How much influence do my loved ones have in my decision-making?
  3. How do I know when my decisions are less ideal than someone else’s?

I Keep Promises That I Make To Myself

I keep promises that I make to myself.

How I treat myself is an indicator of how I handle relationships with others. Giving myself the same treatment that I give to my loved ones is important to my self-worth.

My daily promise is to be kind to myself. Even when I make a silly mistake, I refrain from calling myself unkind names.

It is important for me to love the reflection that I see in the mirror. Doing this keeps me inspired. I tell myself that regardless of the situation, I believe in my ability to overcome. Constant self-belief keeps me from giving up.

One of my biggest promises is to make time for relaxation. Although work comes my way consistently, I only do what I am able to do in a given day.

A complete day involves stepping back from the work routine and unwinding. I promise to get pampered or treat myself to a nice dinner each day. It puts a smile on my face to experience the goodness that I show to others.

Achieving financial discipline is a challenge for me, but it is an important endeavor. Giving up on achieving it is hardly an option.

I tell myself each day that my spending habits determine my ability to hit that target. Then I promise myself to maintain a healthy relationship with money.

Today, taking care of myself gives me the ability to take care of others. I treat myself with goodness and honesty because I deserve it. My promise is to remember that.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. What do I promise myself at the end of each day?
  2. Which promises to myself do I break?
  3. How do I react when someone doesn’t do what they say?

I have the mindset of a winner. Life is something to celebrate. I know that regardless of the outcome of a situation, victory is based on an optimistic outlook.

When I am faced with challenges, I approach them with unwavering confidence. I confront situations knowing that I am a strong, capable person. This attitude allows me to do my best every time.

My victory is about more than crossing the finish line first. It comes from making the most of the entire experience.

Challenges are an opportunity for learning. I assess my weaknesses and work on turning them around. I consider my missteps and develop a strategy to avoid them in the future.

I continually strive to sharpen my skills and cultivate a positive attitude.

Second chances are opportunities for self-improvement. I perform better each time I try again. I know I am a winner, even if I have to make multiple attempts.
